Actually applies to nearly all salaries except some few airlines with better setup(e.g. LH, BA,...). For a lot of us they are still not the right choice, be it basing, very slow career progression, etc.(pick your favorite).
As sad as it sounds, most of us normal pilots will depend on a state pension, and as well Ryanair has to pay that together with yourself(social security). On top they pay up to 6000€/year into a retirement insurance if you pay the same ammount.
That's already more then you get with most(if any) ME carriers. We need to be fair about that.
