Yes, the present runway could be extended physically across Nestuda Way but there would be no point as the church restricts the width and length officially - and quite right too. It would be possible to build a completely new runway across the golf course to the north west but this would be way too expensive as it would involv demolishing buildings or threatening historic Rochford Hall, depending upon its alignment. So SEN is stuck with what it has.

If it that case. Why do they went head despite the problem with it. What the point of it. Perhaps they didn't realise that protest people stopped to have the church demolished. So they have stuck with it.
