I wish I could share Ernest Lanc's views but I see no light at the end of the tunnel, which is depressing to say the least as someone who first flew out of Blackpool some 40 years ago.
My VIEWS are the same LNTman , that BLK are finished and I doubt will ever open to jets other than the private kind.
My point was BLK had good load factors, I never set foot on a half empty plane.
My other point was the airport was expanding in routes, and had the airlined paid what they should, BLK along with the ADF would probably have survived.
That is where I differer from you.
In 2007 I think over 700,000 flew from Blackpool as rising, that was or should have been enough to let BLK make a go of it on the sunshine routes.
