Back in the mid-late 70s Concorde used to fly UK-Bahrain return a couple of times a week. Used to fly south of Cyprus by around 100nm at M2.0 and FL500+. Dropped a nice clean double boom each time it went past - rattled the dustbins, great for time keeping.
The first couple of months the locals tried to claim money of the RAF and it had to be politely pointed out Concorde had nothing to do with us. Soon as they realised there was no money in it the complaints stopped. No stampeding animals, no nervous trauma, no broken windows. We loved it.
There therefore exists several years of data showing the lack of any damage or impact of regular sonic booms. That, unfortunately, will be ignored - as the last thing certain groups have any interest in are the facts.
