A320 CONF 3 Take off FLAP 1 Climb
Hello,
Operator is mitigating bird impact damage (insurance liability) by selecting
thrust red at 400' and accell at 3000'.
On short RWYs we depart with CONF 3
which I hate to drag all the way to 3000' AGL
What I would like to do is:
accelerate at 400' AGL to F speed + 10 and select flaps 1,
this will put me at VLS + 10 complying with a low speed high rate of climb and low drag profile to 3000' where I can accelerate to ECON.
VLS + 10 for flaps 1 is almost equal to V2 for flaps 1,
what do you thing about this practice?
flying below S speed is only mentioned on FCTM for the approach scenario.
Many thanks.
