HS2
The funding for the station is from MAN but the route might change if they drop the station so that it's not near enough to MAN to have a station anymore. That's the potential change.
IMHO, HS2 to the south of Piccadilly will need another station before Crewe just like we have Stockport now (and others). However, I've always expected that HS2 north of Crewe would be scrapped along with some of the Eastern side and have long been keen for MAN to not focus on it to improve rail connectivity but moreover to campaign for things like the western link to the Chester line for example.
