Well I'm pretty sure like the Birmingham Airport interchange link it was "implied" it was a part of the HS2 budget.
HS2 LTD put out all the planning in terms of info graphs etc of their design.
It will certainly be news to a lot of people if we are now saying this was ALL due to be a "privately funded element".
"Given the potential for significant development around an HS2 station at this location, the government conditionally supports the airport station subject to agreeing a suitable funding package with the airport and the wider region in order to deliver a fair deal for the taxpayer."
So what form does that "support" actually take ?
A flimsy map, and a consultation document?
I thought the station was an HS2 ltd recomendation I must confess I took that to mean HS2 LTD would fund the station and MAG would fund the connectivity ?
