I know nothing about why any other organisation has given TCT an award but, despite being given the facts, Jay Sata continues to make inaccurate comments about the Honourable Company of Air Pilots' reason.
Contrary to his mistaken belief, the company was aware of the nature of her flight. It was not misled by the inaccurate, and often melodramatic, descriptions of it in the media. The flights were clearly not solo - by any sensible definition of that term.

Quote from my response (a few days ago) to Jay's comments in the TCT thread:
The Honourable Company of Air Pilots has awarded her the Master's Medal (which will be presented in October) for highlighting women in aviation and encouraging girls/young women to pursue their aspirations even if they seem to be beyond reach. I don't remember the precise words but that is the gist.
It's a pity that he continues to make comments about TCT in this thread.
