Yes. The behaviour of the two men who rushed to the plane after the pilot had extricated himself from 2 minutes in that desperate position reminded me of Dr. Johnson's rebuke to Lord Chesterfield in his famous letter:
"Is not a patron my lord, one who looks with unconcern on a man struggling for life in the water, and, when he has reached ground, encumbers him with help?"
