Reunion of Giants - Lancaster Video

Good Evening All:

For those who live close to Ottawa a interesting event is being held at the Canada Aviation Space Museum hosted by the Project North Star Association of Canada.
It is free but the important thing is to register via the Eventbrite link.
If you know of any veterans from Bomber Command this will be a very interesting video and talk

On Saturday, May 14 we will hosting a screening of the documentary Reunion of Giants in the Main Auditorium of the Canada Aviation & Space Museum, beginning at 10:00 AM. We will also be opening the North Star for limited public viewing on the same day.

The documentary was made during the summer of 2014 to record the trip of the Canadian Lancaster to the UK to join the British Lancaster for a tour of UK air shows to commemorate the crews of Bomber Command in WW2.

The tour was a great success and the documentary chronicles the memorable flights over the Atlantic and the sometimes dramatic UK events.

This event will be a major publicity event for PNS and donations received at the event will be split 50/50 with Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum who produced the documentary. Captain Lyon Evans (R) Air Canada, who flew the Lancaster over to the UK, Dave Rohrer, the CEO of CWHM, and the producer of the documentary, Morgan Elliott, have all agreed to attend the event and talk/answer questions after the showing of the video which lasts about 80 minutes. Captain Bob Pearson (R) Air Canada, who was the speaker at our last event, has agreed to moderate the Q&A with our guests from CWHM.

The event is free to the public, and for PNSAC members there will be an opportunity to look around the North Star in a controlled way after the documentary showing.

Below is the link to the Eventbrite site which describes the event and enables people to order tickets.
