During the summer months the TATL services from EDI are very well used so using a larger aircraft makes sense. Last August UA had a load factor of 86% on the double daily EWR service on 757s whereas the daily 757 to ORD had a load factor of 87%. The new AA connection to JFK recorded 79%. I think DL know what they are doing.
I understand that outwith the summer months the 757 will be used.
