But if you support what is being suggested here, and you're male, that won't matter. Even if you ARE the better candidate. I'm not in disagreement that a male dominated industry (which I agree, aviation is) is a difficult one to crack for the female applicant - but it'll do them no favours to
positively discriminate by way of easier terms and conditions (I refer to the RAAF scheme).
