Why do you have to wait until 1500 hours until the bond is broken?
Your type rating is standard although 12 circuits required in base training for licence issue.

Quite simply, once the MPL is issued after base training, standard line training begins. As you have had the benefit of your company's SOPs during the 120 hours simulator, you are far better prepared for the start of your apprenticeship.
Although there is no restriction changing types/employer post MPL issue, it would probably only occur if they go bust. Happened in Denmark with Stirling a few years back. FLYBE had a 'pause' when going through a difficult trading period a few years ago.

If you completed the PPL requirements during the MPL course, ticked the boxes, then the PPL privileges are granted.
All MPL courses require less actual airborne time than the CPL/IR course. The MPL 120 hours simulator replaces the MCC/JOC.

This is simply a different route to multi crew flying where the training is geared to what is required in the right hand seat.

The only strange criteria is a minimum of 12 take offs/landings as oppose to the usual six for junior birdmen during base training.

At the end of the day there are many ways to skin the cat
