The ONLY aircraft that can operate viably from a financial perspective from Cork is a 737 or 757. A 767 is uneconomical with or without a long runway.

United Airlines fly out of Belfast 90 minutes up the road from Dublin!
NI has a far exceptional population base compared to Cork, yet it struggled majorly to even get this route.

Cork is 3 hours from Dublin airport. Business traffic will not tolerate a 3 hour journey to Dublin and consequently fly via Heathrow.
Shannon or Heathrow. Your point does not justify a market.

Thankfully, Norwegian will be flying to both to New York and Boston on the 737MAX next year.
Enough said.
I'm sure they will
