With all the growth MAN has seen in recent years, with some impressive additions to the route map - Does anyone find the amount of African destinations (or lack of) a bit of a disappointment?
Not really - Sub Sahara is heavily Francophone - Even Heathrow has a pretty limited range of services compared to other European points.
Ethiopia well we know where they went don't we ?
Kenya (we had tour flights to Mombassa) has terrorism issues, and their national airline is practically broke - Needs must and its via Amsterdam which is okay imo.
South Africa - National Airline also near broke and tied so close to Lufthansa they squeak.
Could still see northern winter to Cape Town by TCX at some point
Other Southern African points not a chance
West Africa - :Lagos is an obvious point I suppose however the local carriers are corrupt as hell and Arik are said to have turned down operations to Manchester because they want more Heathrow access - A route they can't even make work much of the time !
Ghana - read above
North Africa - we all know the issues here in Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, and Algeria isn't the most tour friendly place either.
Seriously where else
