Firstly, MAN has not maxed out its Euro destinations, not by a long shot.
Seville, Santiago, Jerez, Bordeaux, Lille, Bucharest, Pristina, Skjope, Dresden, Tiriana, Zagreb to name a few destinations that could realistically be served. I've probably missed many other obvious gaps too.
I wanted to come back on this somewhat optimistic post by LAXLHR a week or so ago.
There are some obvious no-brainers on there such as Seville, Bordeaux and Bucharest but there are some no-chance ones too:-
Pristina - not a hope in hell
Skopje - I've been here, it's a sh1th0le, no-one in their right mind would ever want to go there and I don't detect any sizeable Macedonian diaspora in the North of England
Tirane - you do realize that two weeks ago this tiny airport celebrated the launch of its first fights to.....Frankfurt - even that with a regional jet. No chance of Manchester.
Zagreb - a small airport with high charges which are about to get higher to pay for a vanity new terminal that they didn't need. Again, no chance.
Just to add a sense of balance and perspective that's all.
