Neurological Conditions

I was diagnosed with Peripheral Neuropathy in 2000. I was able to renew my ICAO medical in 2003 and have been flying commercially since that time. I now have opportunity to fly in Europe but have to take the EASA Class 1 medical. I passed all levels of the Class 1 but the local CAA has taken issue with the neuropathy. The regulation states - No neurological condition allowed that will interfere with the safe operation of an aircraft (not exact wording). I have proven, through semi-yearly flight tests with Government approved Flight Testing Examiner (FTE) that I am able to operate an aircraft safely.
Does anyone know of an EASA medical examiner who would look at this with some common sense, someone who would agree that the determination of whether the condition interferes with safe operation should be left up to the FTE.
