The only reason to keep such an incompetent management team in place at Bournemouth must be that it is part of a plan to close the airport. Of course everyone locally wants to keep the airport, including the local authority, but if MAG can prove the airport is not viable, MAG have a convincing argument to close aviation operations and dig up the runway. The value of the land as building land is far more than it is worth as an airport.
Put a competent team in and the airport would survive. Sell it to an owner other than MAG and it would thrive.
I agree Bob, MAG are completely insane. The best way forward is a local interested consortium, the amount of local 'loaded' businessmen/woman in the area, one can't rule out a consortium coming together and purchasing the airport from MAG and securing the future of the facility. It is possible with vision.
