As work force currently stands/demand for future, my guess:
1. SYD 30%
2. BNE 27%
3. CNS 20%
4. ADL 11%
5. MQL 10%
6. MEL 2%

Divosh quite rightly pointed out my estimates for wages were pushing it a bit with allowances. I have also accounted for working an RDO per roster as well. This is something in the vicinity of $500
Forget about Melbourne. There are Sydney based guys/girls who have been waiting 3 years to get there and those people will be offered the spots before any new hires. My advice would be to bid for the bases on the EBA where you want to end up. I.E. If you want MEL, bid for: MEL MQL and SYD. Basically, basing preferences work as follows:

If a MEL spot is offered:
1. Eastern pilot highest on Eastern senority
then, if no one bids
2. Any pilot already working for the QantasLink group
then if still, no bids
3. Offered to new hire

As pointed out previously, this is SENIORITY based company. It doesn't matter if you got your CPL/IR the day before your start date and have 150TT or you have 5000TT with 3000 command on a Q400. You're treated the same from your start date and command time will generally not vary between two applicants with the same start date so long as when your number comes up, you have the requirements and are deemed capable of a command.
