As long as you have HKID, I thought you can still apply the ab-initio (the 1 year cadet program) with CPL and 200 something hours
Sadly this is not true. Im a 3* HK resident with a CPL (with expired MECIR) and Ive been told by CX very definetly that I cannot go into the cadet program and must apply for the Advanced Entry.
KA sent me an email about 1 year ago with some attachments about converting to an HK license.
Ive recently joined a flying club in Cebu and they have considered having me on as a part time instructor/ safety pilot, so I could build up to 500, but i suspect this will be a long and costly process, I guess I have no option but to wait and see in a few years.
Meanwhile waiting for my GFS application to start...
