The drought through the 70s finished us then it rained 30" the year after we left. The cattle were wild and so were some of the locals, especially when there were arguments about brands, earmarks and cleanskins.

A good friend was killed on Minnie Creek chasing cattle in the summer in a C150A. He saw they had crossed a boundary and he tried to hunt them back even though he knew the rules. He was the second owner of that station to die while mustering with a fixed wing.
