The Met Office appear to have brought forward the timing of the arrival of the storm. Looking at the TAFS and BBC charts, not for the first time it looks as if the worst of the (cross) winds will be over by 05.00 or shortly after. Thereafter, the direction is much less of a cross wind although still strong.
