Everyone is safe, excellent! But this has got me thinking. Obviously the crew made the correct decision based on their training and protocols. But in theory, 1) Can the pilots not over ride the "system" and land manually as they have done many times at MAN? or 2) Is the runway at MAN borderline for an A380 given poor wet conditions, heavy aircraft and the computer just said 'No, not tonight son'?
