IIRC, were there not two BMA Viscount 814s. dry leased at about this time as well ? G-BAPD, G-BAPF ?
I believe it was actually G-BAPE and 'PG, but correct. They were painted into BA livery for the duration. The Viscount 700s pictured above had come to the end of their operational life. BMA at this time always seemed to have too many Viscounts in the fleet for their operational requirements.


The way I read the story was that there was an overly puritanical lady at the ARB. She didn't let any registrations through that would encourage disrespect and swearing
I can imagine her face when, in the days when registrations were allocated strictly in alphabetical order, it came round to G-ARSE about this time.
