Sul numero 1-7 Marzo 2016 di Flight International il signor Paul Burch di Farnham, Surrey scrive nella sezione 'Letters':
...The FAA, knowing fatigue is a threat to safety, reduced the maximum flight duty periods (FDP) for its commercial pilots. EASA, ignoring the Science and common sense, allows airlines to ‘manage’ fatigue and says an increase in FDPs to include duties of up to 19h for a three-man crew is safe. A two-person crew can operate a 12h FDP from 05:00, or a 14h day at 07:00, plus so-called captain’s discrection.
The public should be made aware of the risks they face from tired pilots, as the inept and corrupt EASA rules are no longer fit for purpose, For those of us in the industry, the duties we are told to perform since their introduction are a nightmare.
Mi sembrano limiti un po' alti.
Sull'M11 (fine anni 1990) stirarono l'elastico facendoci fare la New York con un equipaggio di due - che veniva integrato con un terzo se il vento faceva aumentare oltre le nove ore il tempo di volo stimato - Ma fu giocoforza concedere il 'Nap'.
