Is there a way to create a link that jumps directly to a thread you have posted in another group? Or do you just create a new msg in the other groups, Saying :

Have posted XXX Question in YYY forum.

Or on my part is it a case of RTFM, and the answer is somewhere on the site.

Unfortunately it may be a pain for the moderators, and people who regularly trawl through a lot of groups to find a duplicate postings and replies, but quite often you find that if you post a message to just one group, leave it 4-5 days to see if you get a reply, and nothing. Then you post to a second group, and go through the same waiting again. It can take a while to get any replies. Different people read different groups, and you are targetting a different audience with each posting. There is probably a lot less people that look at multiple groups, when compared to those that only look at specific groups.

As an idea, how about having a section on the post reply page that allows automatic cross posting. Have a drop down list that allows the poster to select which other groups to post to. Anyone who replies from any of the groups that the posting went out to, automatically appears in all other groups. Effectively only one message, and set of replies stored once. Possibly with an Icon/Smilie Face reserved soley for auto cross posted messages.

This would keep everyone happy. Or maybe not???
