Octopussy2 I don't give this recipe to anybody but in your case I'll make an exception.

This is a traditional Guernsey recipe, pretty basic but extremely delicious.

Guernsey Gache Melee. This is for 2 persons.

1lb Cooking apples (weighed after paring and coring)
5 oz Self raising flour.
5 oz Sugar
3 fl. oz milk
2.5 oz suet
pinch of salt

Chop apples into small pieces. Place all ingredients into bowl and stir with a wooden spoon until well mixed.
Place mixture into a well greased 7"x9" baking pan and bake at 300F, 150C(Gas 2) for 1.5 -1.75 hours, until golden brown and apples are cooked. Serve cut into squares. Now, it should be served with fresh Guernsey cream, but you will probably have to use some of that funny mainland European watery stuff. I also pour a generous dollop of calvados in with the cream.
