Thanks a lot for your comment. All I heard till now (including pm) is surprisingly good apart from pay part but this is rather expected. And yes, that move would certainly bring me closer to Kent, some 1kkm. Besides my home is where my family and I could easily move with them to Scotland. Not so easy with my current workplace.
