Bill, that's a pretty silly argument, isn't it?
One can equally say that had the PIC paid more attention to the fact that there appearred to be issues with the AH/GD, and the forcast flight conditions for the flight, when he was on the ground at Cooly - and stayed there, then "
the accident would most likely not have happened"!
Or, had the flight proceeded coastal, the AH rolling upside down at some point could equally have resulted in the same outcome!
