Some of you may or may not know, there is/was due to be a practice display by the Reds at Coningsby today. Some of you also may or may not know that there is a an area on private land called 'the mound', accessed from Dogdyke Rd, which is, unsurprisingly, a large earth mound which offers good photographic views over the airfield above the top of the perimeter fence. The farmer who owns the land allows photographers to park on his land and use the mound without any problems, usually, today however, 15 mins before the Reds were due, RAF plod turns up and insists everyone must vacate the mound due to 'health & safety' reasons! Notwithstanding the fact the mound is on private land and she had no legal right to ask people to move off it, is this an indication perhaps of things to come since the tragedy at Shoreham I wonder?
