Impressive fly-through video shows how Manchester Airport will look after £1bn transformation - Manchester Evening News
Did we loose a pier? I noticed the current ones seem longer than in the initial renders. Also, it looks like the cargo/storage stands on the far side have gone to enable the dual-Code E taxi-lanes. I am still leery about the piers and could-a-sacs as these tend to be quite inefficient, especially if you have peaky operations, which MAN tends to have. Look at PHL vs ATL in how long push-back times take. There is also the problem of only having one-way out and the associate delays. While the removal of pier C is an improvement, I am not sure that I agree that the overall layout is very efficiently designed; though this may be the best that the consultants could come up with given the constraints placed on them.
