Honestly, for the reasons I've already given - no. Unless I was in Business Class which TCX don't do.
I fly to the US at least once a month, often on Business but also when I'm paying myself going to see relatives, I'll usually take Premium Economy. I've now tried the vast majority of options from MAN more than once (except obviously PK).
For Business Class, the pecking order in terms of quality and service is:
DL VS UA AA
For Premium Economy (or near equivalent), the pecking order is:
TCX VS DL UA AA
For Economy, the pecking order is:
TCX DL UA (not tried the others in Economy)
I'm serious about this, the refurbished cabins on the TCX A330s are top notch and the cabin crew are a delightful change to the usual 'don't give a damn' attitude of the US carriers. All this for much less money.
