I was thinking about this at work today, and think I may have confused part of the issue😊 Y1 is available for departures, but I suspect wannabee may have been thinking about Y4 which is close to M1 but which is only an access to where Twy Y crosses the 26L undershoot and has no access onto the runway itself.
