What the hell is going on at this airport when the airport can't even pick up any crumbs of the many new routes that seem to be announced almost weekly at the other London airports?
Some of us have been around long enough to remember when this same question was being asked by Stansted, Luton, even Gatwick once upon a time. London is fast running out of capacity, politicians refuse to address the issue, Southends time
will come, it had a lucky early break with securing the easyJet base which has tended to raise expectations above the demand curve but within 5-10 years all available capacity within easy reach of London will be like gold dust.
