Your post #8 took me back to my Bankstown days in the late 70s.
The operators, the aircraft, the pilots and the maintainers.
After-work drinkies, chats and laughs over at the High Flyer are fondly remembered.
Like others, though, I'm surprised that the need to shuttle paper around the countryside has lasted this long.
Of course the future of Bankstown itself, like other similar airports, is threatened by greedy developers and NIMBY new residents.
That subject, though, has been covered well enough on other threads.
p.s. Our interjecting armchair aviator, (above #16), might like to further study metacognition as it applies to his good-self.
