Urgent-Government Dept all set to scrap last two Giant SRN4's
As far as I remember some of the Rolls Royce Proteus were taken from the SRN4 in order to be used as power plants for someone's power boat. So probably it would be impractical to try and move these craft to another location anyway even if they could be made seaworthy again. Considering that the Hovercraft Museum has the World's best collection of hovercraft of all types anyway, if there was no SRN4, the largest type built by BHC at Cowes, the Museum would be incomplete without at least one of these craft anyway.
