One could be forgiven for taking the simple route when designing the syllabus for a type rating course, after all the Licence Skill Test is effectively a list of the manoeuvres, evolutions and protocols required.
Arrange to teach and rehearse these and 'bingo!' problem solved. But is it? Such a course meets the requirements of the 'compliance' system but can we do it better, can we do it another way and can the words 'role related context' and 'competence' find a way into the mix?
To what extent should 'affordability' define the course content?
