Russian manufacturer, reportedly used in some places in China. No known western use.

TCCA have also reacted, similar to EASA, and have removed the fluid in question from the HOT tables.

Transport Canada (TC) has recently been made aware that Type I deicing fluid DEFROST ECO 1 (manufactured by Oksayd Co. Ltd.) contains alkali organic salts (AOS). These are chemicals that may pose a significant safety hazard given their impact on anti-icing fluid (Type II, III and IV) performance and their published holdover times. Consequently, DEFROST ECO 1 is removed from Table 8-1 of the 2015-2016 Holdover Times Guidelines.

At the time of this publication TC has no knowledge of this fluid being available and as an increased safety measure is removing the fluid’s listing. A Civil Aviation Safety Advisory (CASA) is attached and will be made available online in the near future shortly at: http://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/civilaviatio...entre-1187.htm
