You do need to teach someone, the datum attiude, the three primary controls and there movement and a simple introduction to the cockpit together with a safety briefing.
But not on an "Introductory Flight" with a pilot who knows nothing about instructiion and who sits in the right hand seat because it makes him look like an insteructor!
