How dose that 747 LAX -JFK pairing work? is it a return cause of duty hrs for long haul crew or a overnight?
Same with the A380 to LHR, do the LHR QF crew take it from DXB onwards or after rest in DXB do the Aussie crew take it all the way to LHR sometimes?
The LAX-JFK is operated by SYD and AKL base 747 crew.
Brisbane base complete the BNE-LAX-BNE sectors, but the base still runs on a seniority based system, so the LAX trips rarely if ever go to juniors.
It's been several years since any SYD base made it all the way to LHR, but there was a bit of cross crewing recently with the LHR base and MEL base. It is a 8-9 day trip.
