Start here and be realistic.

Your best bet is to go through the list of companies under the Charters/Corporate/Medivac for all the provinces and send out resumes. Winter is typically slow for pilot hiring at the low levels, but it'll pick up around March. A fresh CPL will not get you into most of the companies listed under airline.

Many of us purchased a cheap car, filled it gas, our resumes and a suitcase and continued driving until we hit the opposite coast or someone decided to hire us. There are a lot of companies in Canada that see e-mail and phone calls from pilots as lazy.

Oh yeah...You'll also need your Group-1 Instrument Rating if you want any multi-time, otherwise it's summer skydiving, banner towing, pipe line patrol or instructing if you want to spend more money. Also, a 3-year work permit rather than permanent residency may limit some of your options.

You'll probably (but not certainly) end up working a ground job (refueller, flight follower, etc.) before you step into an airplane. Don't put your nose up to it as that closes a lot of doors quick. Plan on anywhere between 1 to 3 years doing that. If the economy is good, it may be 1. If its bad it'll be 3.
