Valet parking
Very true LTNman and if you look at the application (it is still an application and I cannot see that it has been approved yet) the short term car park will have space set aside for the valet parking operation, so not a net gain of 260 car parking spaces but a gain nonetheless. The valet car park will be pitched at people staying around 4 days, and one would expect will be priced to be cheaper than the equivalent 4 day parking charge in the short term car park.
I can't see it catching on. The time taken for the vehicle inspection totally negates the short car park to terminal building walk advantage but at least the airport is trying to improve revenues.
