The company is promoting one-way fares for as low as $89, but in exchange passengers will face charges for carry-on bags, seat selection, drinks and printed boarding passes.
Hopefully TC et al will shoot down the charges for printed boarding passes.
Ryanair adopted a similar
SCAM in Europe a few years back. There were many cases of pax with families or groups being charged hundred of Euros at Check-In just because their cell phones did not allow the emailed or texted boarding passes to be displayed in other countries.
Their Director was on the Exchange last night. One of the most unconvincing people I have ever seen. Presumably MAS thought so too(!)
