They have / had a holding pool of experienced guys interviewed 2 years ago for FO positions. they could've easily been typed on the 78 but were left to pursue other opportunities. Are you sure it's not about money because it certainly looks that way to me. VS is a very good employer and seemingly a happy bunch but the new management dawn is upon them. They are cost cutting like Ryanair on steroids. So far only the flight crew have escaped but they can't hide forever. I'm surprised they haven't invited people go buy a 787 rating.
