Turbo Commander, what a wonderful machine. I recently flew with the old man who was Northrop Gumman's chief pilot, and he was the one that filmed Bob Hoover's barrell roll with a jug of water. I still remember my days in Ultimo watching that.
I knew the pilot of SVQ extremely well (PS) and was waiting at SYD for BSS when it crashed.

As for the aircraft, my 747 is no where near as satisfying professionally. And, I am sick of pilots, that I really do think are better then me, passing on. Ernest Ghan articulates it better than me.
