If BOH manages just 20% of the expected 3 million pax in 2016 (figures based on the expansion plans put into action eight years ago) then I think they'll have done well. 600,000 looks like a dismal but realistic proposition for the next 12 months compared to the original 3 million! That's an absolutely huge difference to what MAG expected! Is there really anything that can be done to change this? It seems extremely unlikely now. It's so hard to be optimistic regarding the future of an airport that can't even handle more than a couple of diversions at any one time these days! So what was so different in the 70s and 80s when they managed to handle dozens of LHR & LGW diverts! Something to do with everyone working as a team in those days maybe?
