Seems to me the takeaway from the story is simply yet another tick in the "con" column of reasons not to move to Dubai or work for EK.
But in the end, the true believers will defend, the foolish will join, and the band plays on.
At least it's consistent. Scratch the shiny surface to see the sh$t.
