Refueling the Bell 47 series with AVGAS while the stabilizer bar spun just above your head, was a bit exciting.
That brings back memories for sure......I remember using my hat as a gauge to know how far I could raise my head enough to look into the tanks. Held my hat up by the brim a few inches higher than my noggin, when the stab bar started flicking the hat I knew that was high enough
