Many moons ago in Africa (naturally) a herd of giraffe crossed the runway and a rather lucky pilot of a small aircraft managed to survive by steering between two of the offending beasts at around 12 feet, decapitating both with one wing each thus maintainig direction and landed heavily straight ahead.The aircraft was a writeoff but the pilot walked away. The condition of his underwear was not reported.
