I've said it before and I make no apology for saying it again; one issue DID cause this accident. Two qualified and experienced ATPLs managed to stall a basically-serviceable modern aircraft into the drink from FL380.
That should NOT be possible. That should NEVER EVER happen. You can argue AoA indicators and control laws and sidesticks until you're blue in the face; what it needed was pilots who could
fly the <expletive deleted> plane! If you lose sight of that, you've lost sight of the damned *profession*.
